After I came home from Cleveland the kids and I drove to Blythe. Davis kept begging to go to his Papa's house for "this-many days" as he holds up four fingers :) The Riverside County Fair was in town and you know how I loves me some funnel cakes and freshly baked cinnamon rolls!! And farm animals, I will always have a special place in my heart for farm animals :) Ha ha. Anyways, we really don't have a lot going on right now so when I left I wasn't sure when I'd be back. So the kids and I perused the fair, dilly dallied on my parent's five-acres, busted out the water slide, enjoyed some stock car racing at Blythe Speedway and ended up staying six days! And Davis was still disappointed to leave!!

Mmmm, funnel cake... In the town I grew up in we had a little festival every year (called Old Timer's Day) and my most favorite thing to do EVERY year was go get some pork-on-a-stick. How much like Hicksville does that sound...but Oh, I'd pay ten bucks for one now if I could get one! :) Oh, the small town memories...
